Paper based flexible packaging short runs enabled

The unique TITON technology can bring short-run printing to paper-based flexible packaging as it is food-safe and odourless. TITON prints are also resistant to heat, chemicals and mechanical abrasion without additional varnishing or lamination. Still, the prints are recyclable, ticking all boxes for environmentally friendly packaging.

TITON toner technology combines the advantages of electrophotographic toner with UV inkjet. The toner can be heat-sealed without discoloration or any loss of print quality. Moreover, TITON toner can be used to create primary packaging for food stuff without the need for a film-based functional barrier.

The new TITON toner builds on developments Xeikon worked on and perfected for years.

The TITON technology is not limited to paper-based flexible packaging, however. Pouches, lids, and labels that need to resist heat or chemicals are prime application areas as well.
