Renovation of refurbishment of a modern home can be really a cumbersome experience and at times does leave one with a bad taste in the mouth if things are not planned for in an appropriate fashion well in advance. That obviously means there are many home owners out there who are fretting about the prospect of a renovation no matter how much they want one.
Tatarko tells that the renovation of their house is an ongoing project and that inspiration from Houzz and its large collection of images was a key aspect in all of it. (And we are not surprised at all!)
A stylish and compact little bookshelf was carved out on the wall adjacent to a stylish sleek and modern rectangular fireplace. The splashes of bright orange here and there on the unique stools and couch cushions along with the subtle use of orange in the patio furniture that is visually connected to the living space ensures that there is no sense of blandness in this modern makeover.
The interior is awe-inspiring. A relatively larger courtyard in the exact middle complements the whole design. Here the actual ground is maintained as such along with the trees. The pillars in black are another spectacular feature. Following a style that is quite simple and inviting the house uses white as the basic hue while off white and cream add support.
Wooden ceilings make the whole area so admirable and so do the brick walls. Metal rods that hold the lighting props which run across on the ceilings are kept exposed. The flooring looks as if it has been made to reflect the ceiling while the pillars sport a rustic look and the multi-paned windows have helped it maintain the elegance.
The couple admits that it had been a lot of work to renovate the whole structure which included even the shaping up of each and every single irregular stone. The home has four floors in total connected through an elevator accessed from an underground garage and wine cellar.
The middle aged couple bought the whole house as two different apartment units and the new combined house has two living rooms with an entrance right in the middle. Dividing the whole space into two major portions is the entrance with the right side assigned for private space. An exotic office space is another attraction. The master bedroom in white color resembles some suite in a big shot hotel while kitchen and the kitchen island on the left side are chic and modern.
