Wooden ceilings make the whole area so admirable and so do the brick walls. Metal rods that hold the lighting props which run across on the ceilings are kept exposed. The flooring looks as if it has been made to reflect the ceiling while the pillars sport a rustic look and the multi-paned windows have helped it maintain the elegance.
The interior is awe-inspiring. A relatively larger courtyard in the exact middle complements the whole design. Here the actual ground is maintained as such along with the trees. The pillars in black are another spectacular feature. Following a style that is quite simple and inviting the house uses white as the basic hue while off white and cream add support.
This glass concept home is created by Italian design firm Santambrogio. Carlo Santambrogio and designer Ennio Arosio have said that it was the desire of the client to build it completely out of glass. Located in Milan the house sits in the middle of a wood clearing.
The construction of the house got completed last year and accounts for 3270 sq ft of space. The glass windows form a connection between the outdoor and the indoor. As you can see the building is wrapped in the lush embrace of the vegetation all around and the house merges into the surroundings and at the same time stands out too.
Accompanied by the Louis Poulsen Panthella Floor Lamp this pendant light acts more like a floor lamp and balances the design. Stretched over a wooden frame the Moments pattern from Marimekko fabrics was painted in neon colors. The comfy couch is lit from another beautifully designed piece – the AJ wall lamp by Arne Jacobsen also seen in the bedroom.
Tatarko tells that the renovation of their house is an ongoing project and that inspiration from Houzz and its large collection of images was a key aspect in all of it. (And we are not surprised at all!)
Chances are that you would take this structure to be a flying saucer that accidentally landed in the woods. Well no this is an amazingly cool residence located in Ghent Belgium and is designed by Architecten De Vylder Vinck Taillieu. Called the house sports huge glass windows all round thereby bringing in the essence of the beauty of the woods inside.
