Designed extravagantly by Studio Sagan Piechota Architecture the is a brilliant house located amidst the spectacular Carmel Mountains in California with stunning scenery and the majestic ocean forming its natural surroundings.
Chances are that you would take this structure to be a flying saucer that accidentally landed in the woods. Well no this is an amazingly cool residence located in Ghent Belgium and is designed by Architecten De Vylder Vinck Taillieu. Called the house sports huge glass windows all round thereby bringing in the essence of the beauty of the woods inside.
The construction of the house got completed last year and accounts for 3270 sq ft of space. The glass windows form a connection between the outdoor and the indoor. As you can see the building is wrapped in the lush embrace of the vegetation all around and the house merges into the surroundings and at the same time stands out too.
As you can see everything single thing in this house is made of glass including the floors ceilings as well as the staircases — yes you’re reading it right Even the book cases the tables and the cabinets are made of glass. The only things we could find not being made out of glass are the bed and the fancy couch. Actually the bed frame and the couch frame ARE made of glass but there’s a nice mattress in there to accommodate your body — after all who would want to sleep on glass?!
It has also got a fully-closed courtyard with large glass windows is another element of attraction. The flooring is mostly wooden. Imported stones are also used. Hiroshi Senju portraits decorate the walls. And furniture pieces have been designed by Cecotti Collezioni which is why they are so impressive.
The kitchen has open shelving lit by a bright yellow Jielde lamp. Each space of this apartment found on Bolig has beautiful details that compose a very personal inviting and museum-like residential space. Which one is your favorite?
One major highlight is the entrance hallway with a 200-pair shoes storage unit which looks absolutely splendid. Nonetheless the other storage shelves and wardrobes are quite admirable too. The terrace of the building is inspired by Parisian style.
