The interiors are divided between public and private spaces with the high ceiling and open space constructing an inviting platform for a lifestyle in perfect balance with the alpine landscape. An immense rock wall serves as a divider separating the East from the West and also functions as a temperature stabilizer. The use of wood gives you a warm touch visually and a beauty all on its own. The folded roof gives the building a modern look that also blends into the stately mountainous terrain.
One major highlight is the entrance hallway with a 200-pair shoes storage unit which looks absolutely splendid. Nonetheless the other storage shelves and wardrobes are quite admirable too. The terrace of the building is inspired by Parisian style.
Voorsanger Architects created a stunning home in Aspen Colorado. The Wildcat Ridge residence – as it was named – sits atop a 9200 feet elevation overlooking beautiful natural surroundings. The fragile nature of the site challenged the architects to design a home that would follow the contours of the land but display a stunning modern architecture.
A cleft between the high roofs and the walls allows for free passage of air and light into all the levels and there is ample natural ventilation. The architecture relies on minimal use of walls and they have been erected only in places where they are necessary with glass extensively and expansively filling up in most other places. From the highway the house appears too short and lying on its backdrop is the large beautiful ocean.
Black metal panels ensure the street facade offers complete privacy while the glazed side facing the garden completely opens the interior to the surroundings. From the living room area the view of the lawn combined with the floor-to-ceiling glass gives a totally unobstructed view and a spacious feeling.
A designed by Jeff Andrews in Beverly Hills has succeeded in fulfilling all the demands of the owners — and we must say it’s a feast for the eyes. Andrews knew the owners well as this was actually his third project for the couple.
The catwalk staircase in the central is the major highlight here. The sitting area and office are on the second floor. The interiors reflect an ultra-modern outlook. Since the couple have baby boy born towards the end of the renovation works baby-proofing elements were also incorporated into the design.
